LADDS is a motion design studio based in the south of the Netherlands, in the beautiful city of Tilburg;

"...where every tourist is an attraction in itself..."

In the mid nineties Erik-Jan Maalderink (1972), Martin Kers (1969) and Leon van Rooij (1975) met while getting an education in visual arts.

Driven by a common interest in the almost infinite possibilities of the digital moving image we started working together. Initially as two seperate companies we realised some great commercial and art projects. In 2002 the two companies merged in LADDS - the organisation of imagination. Since 2006 we hold our current office and studio in theatre De NWE Vorst. 

In the early years LADDS' primary focus was on applied work. We created commercials and corporate films for clients like Interpolis, Agio, Oranjewoud and Erasmus MC. Over the last few years this focus has shifted more towards digital media art and special projections like Tilburg 200 jaar. Our work was on display at the 52nd and 53rd Bienale of Venice, Nuit Blanche in Paris, the Piazza Duca D’Aosta in Milan and the international Intercity festival in Florence.

This combination of applied work and art projects fits LADDS very well. By combining different ideas, approaches, styles and characters, LADDS creates unique visual solutions for both sides of the spectrum.
